自分の身体を撮りたい、表現したいと思いながらも、世に出す勇気が持てないという女性たちから相談を受けることがある。
作品を発表することには確かに勇気がいる。
しかし、誰かに背中を押してもらうのを待つのではなく、自分で自分の背中を押し、自分の人生に責任を持って選択してほしい。
このセルフポートレートには、全女性たちへの愛を込めた。

There are women who come to me with a quiet confession — that they long to photograph their own bodies, to express themselves, yet cannot find the courage to bring that work into the world.
It is true that sharing one’s work takes courage.
But rather than waiting for someone else to push you forward, I want you to push yourself — to take responsibility for your own life and make the choice that is yours to make.
Into these self-portraits, I have poured my love for all women.
